National Fitra Fixing Committee decides at a virtual meeting
The maximum Fitra for the Eid-ul-Fitr this year has been set at Tk2,310 per head and minimum at Tk70.
The decision was taken at a virtual meeting of the Islamic Foundation’s National Fitra Fixing Committee on Wednesday, according to a press release issued.
The meeting was chaired by Maulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, the chairman of the Fitra Fixing Committee and senior pesh imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
The release said the amounts have been fixed considering the market prices of wheat, flour, barley, raisins, dates, cheese, and other essential items.
Fitra is paid to the poor before the main prayers (congregation) of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
