Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has acknowledged this year’s “development-friendly” budget.
He made the remarks after the proposed budget was placed in the parliament on Thursday.
Quader said the proposed budget was “realistic” and “timely” to tackle the Covid-19 situation with the assured participation of all the people of the country, and prioritizing lives and livelihoods.
The finance minister proposed Tk602,880 crore budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year, themed around “Priority on lives and livelihoods, tomorrow’s Bangladesh”
