He hopes that BNP leaders will realize their ill-political practice
Criticizing the BNP leaders for being ungrateful towards the government, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday said the BNP has raised a wall of revenge in the politics of this country.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set an example of humanity and tolerance even after killing Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members, and trying to assassinate her (Sheikh Hasina) by launching a grenade attack. But, one of the leaders of BNP lied, made falsehoods and spoke indecently while the senior leaders defended him,” he said in a statement.
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, added that the example of humanity and tolerance that Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina has set in politics is unprecedented in the contemporary world.
Criticizing the BNP for their ill activities, the AL leader said: “The BNP leaders are clearly provoking to open the Pandora’s Box.”
Urging BNP leader Moazzem Hossain Alal to seek an unconditional apology to the nation for making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Quader said: “If he does not tender an apology, it will be considered as the statement of the BNP, and it will be dealt with politically.”
The minister hoped that the BNP leaders would realize their ill-political practice. “People have seen the irresponsible statement of a state minister and Sheikh Hasina did not spare him for his misbehaviour.”
On the contrary, the countrymen also witnessed how BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir shamelessly supported the indecent remarks of one of his party-leaders about the incumbent premier Sheikh Hasina, he added.
