Around 90% of the students in public universities living in dormitories have been vaccinated, Mohibul said.
Nearly 64% students of the 12-18 age group got the first dose of Covid, said Deputy Minister of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury.
He said this while speaking in parliament taking part in the thanksgiving motion on the president’s speech on Monday.
The deputy minister mentioned that the number of the students in the country is about 1,16,23,322. “And of them, 7,718,000 received the first dose of the vaccine as of Sunday.”
Mohibul said they have been able to vaccinate all the teachers at the university level.
