The “Police Week 2022” will begin across the country on Sunday with the theme “Skilled Police, Prosperous Country, Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh”.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the program at the Rajarbagh police lines in the capital virtually around 10am.
This year, 230 members of police will be awarded for their various outstanding contributions, courage and services.
The awardees of 2020 and 2021 will be awarded together this year as the programs could not be held in the last two years due to Covid-19 pandemic.
President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in separate messages, greeted all members of the Bangladesh Police on the occasion.
National dailies will publish special supplements on this occasion while government, private TV and radio channels will air special programs.The five-day long program of Police Week will conclude on Thursday.
