Local media workers were neglected in the Prime Minister’s public meeting in Chittagong

Mejbah Uddin::
On December 4, Chittagong Metro-North-South Awami League initiated the Chittagong journalists to report at the Prime Minister’s rally ground, but Dhaka journalists who came to Chittagong before the rally were given a warm welcome. But Awami League leaders did not keep track of local journalists in Chittagong. They complained that they had to sit on the streets like fakirs to cover the news.Apart from this, the journalist leaders of Chittagong complained that the journalists of many unregistered portals got the cards but the journalists of the widely circulated newspapers of Chittagong did not get the cards.
Leaders of Awami League came under fire from the media workers at the press conference on the successful completion of Prime Minister’s public meeting on the occasion of Chittagong Metropolitan-North-South Awami League at Bangabandhu Hall of Chittagong Press Club on Monday afternoon.
However, at the beginning of the press conference, Chittagong South District Awami League President Muslim Uddin MP and City Awami League General Secretary AJM Nashir Uddin expressed regret to the media workers and said that they do not know anything about this.
